Did you know 85% of the brain is developed by age three? Pequea Valley School District is committed to helping learners become ready to learn before they enter Kindergarten. Through Pequea Valley's Building Braves Program, children will have access to early learning opportunities from prenatal leading into Kindergarten. The goal of the Building Braves Program is to support and empower families on their journey towards preparing their child for life long learning.

Katie Beiler, Birth to 5 Literacy Liaison
After teaching third grade for three years, Katie felt called to begin working with the Pequea Valley community in early childhood. She began working with PV in 2017 and thoroughly enjoys making connections with families & community partners. Katie says one of her favorite parts of her job is seeing parents thrive at being their child's first teacher.
Lisa Eckert, Birth to 5 Literacy Liaison
Before joining the PV team in October 2018, Lisa worked as a preschool teacher for four years and has a background in Psychology and Human Services. Lisa enjoys working with families and building relationships with her program participants. Her favorite part of the job is connecting families to each other and introducing them to all the activities and resources the PV community has to offer.
