• About PVIS

    Welcome to PVIS!

Pequea Valley Intermediate School is located in rural southeastern Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The view from our school consists primarily of beautiful farmland. Learners living in the towns of Paradise, Ronks, Kinzers, Gap, Narvon, Intercourse, Gordonville, Strasburg, Honeybrook, and New Holland make up the PVIS student body.

Approximately 250 learners in grades 7 & 8 attend Pequea Valley Intermediate School. We are a 1-1 school with each learner having a Macbook Air assigned to him or her for use. The core curriculum includes ELA Reading, Humanities, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Science, and STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math). In addition to the core classes, PVIS learners also attend classes in Art, Music, Wellness, Prep for Success, Spanish, German, Agriculture, Business, and STEAM.

We share goals for our building at PVIS. These goals include safety, academic achievement, and creating an enjoyable learning environment. Safety is reinforced on a regular basis through various drills including fire, severe weather, intruder, and lockdown drills. We also believe learning can be fun and have implemented numerous activities throughout the year to support the hard work in the classroom with fun enrichment learning experiences such as Manufacturing Week. Manufacturing Week is an entire week in October devoted to exposing our learners to the exciting world of Manufacturing and STEM industries.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the PVIS main office at 717-768-5535.
