APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, the Board approved the March 5, 2024, Committee Meeting minutes.
CHIEF OF FINANCE AND OPERATION’S RECOMMENDATIONS:
On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, approval was given for the following Consent Agenda Items A-F. (rc)
A. The sale of four-year-old and out-of-warranty technology at the following prices for seniors and elementary staff members:
- Macbook Air (staff) $275 plus tax
- iPad (staff) $130 plus tax
- Macbook Air (seniors) $210 plus tax
B. A purchase from Apple, Inc. in the amount of $290,239.90.
This purchase is part of our scheduled replacement cycle through the Tech budget and includes iPads for 1st grade learners and elementary staff, laptops for 5th/9th grade learners and elementary staff.
C. A grant with PCCD to continue contracting for a social worker in our Tier II and III social/emotional groups.
We would like to keep the additional social worker we have this year to help with Tier groups at the elementary and secondary campus as well as check in with learners that cannot get school-based services or outside therapy for a number of reasons. If we are not able to get a new agency to provide school-based therapy for next year, we will have an increase of individual learners that may need extra support. We have been able to run an additional 13 groups this year for our learners and this will increase since this position would be able to start at the beginning of the year.
D. A contract with ArbiterSports to pay officials for athletic events, at a cost of $1,390 per year, effective March 18, 2024.
E. To contract with Reuben Stoltzfus Excavating to create a youth tee ball infield at Salisbury Elementary School, at a cost of $13,000.
F. A donation of an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 from Dale Amspacher to the eSports Program.
SUPERINTENDENT’S RECOMMENDATIONS:
On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, approval was given for the following Consent Agenda Item A. (rc)
