SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNITION – Charlotte Lapp and Darlene Lapp will be recognized for their exceptional work with the Pequea Valley Food Pack Program.

LIAISON REPORTS

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, the Board approved the September 5, 2023, committee meeting minutes. (rc)

CHIEF OF FINANCE AND OPERATIONS’ RECOMMENDATIONS:

On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, approval was given for the following Consent Agenda Items A-H. (rc)

  1. The Safety & Security Cohort Agreement with IU 13 at a cost of $1,500 for the 2023-2024 school year.
  2. An Agreement with IU 13, ELD Services to CTC Students, at a cost of $9,139.83 per student (full-day) for the 2023-2024 school year.

The IU 13 will provide English Language Development services to district students enrolled in LCCTC for the 2023-2024 school year. PVHS has two full-day learners and two half-day learners.

  1. An Agreement with Ion Wave Technologies to provide progress monitoring for IEP’s at a cost of $2,955, September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024.
  2. The reimbursement to the PV Youth Soccer Association in the amount of $6,280.67 for four soccer goals with nets.
  3. To accept the following grants from the Pennsylvania Commission of Crime and Delinquent Grant for Safety at a total of $245,548.
  4. To accept the contract for BASE mindset assessment and curriculum for grades K-6 which replaces PASS at a cost of $10,386.
  5. A Special Education contract with Lampeter-Strasburg School District for one life skills student for the 2023-2024 school year in the amount of $18,250.
  6. To accept an agreement with Chester County Intermediate Unit to provide the following support:
    • CHAAMP Tuition and Behavior Mentor for one learner, $135,373.53
    • Child Development Center Learning Support for one learner, $36,575.49
    • Child Development Center Autistic support for one learner, $46,184.29
    • Occupational Therapy for two learners, $7,672.95
    • Speech Therapy for three learners, $12,449.60

SUPERINTENDENT’S RECOMMENDATIONS:

On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, approval was given for the following Consent Agenda Items A-C. (rc)

  1. Bus drivers for 2023-2024.
  2. Transportation schedules for 2023-2024.

     Bus routes and stops are approved annually per state regulations.
