    CALL TO ORDER

    MOMENT OF SILENCE, PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

    SCHOOL BOARD RECOGNITION – Regan Gates, Carissa Lapp, Clover Peterson and Nathan Walter, 5th and 6th grade math competition winners, will be recognized. Colton Mann will be recognized as our First Choice Spotlight Learner for January. (PowerPoint Presentation)

    APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

    On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, the Board approved the January 4, 2022, Committee Meeting minutes.                               

    CHIEF OF FINANCE AND OPERATION’S RECOMMENDATIONS:

    On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, approval was given for the following Consent Agenda Items A-C. (rc)

    A.  A resolution to certify that the District will remain within the Act 1 inflation index for the 2022-2023 fiscal year.

    B.  To accept IDEA-B grant funds from IU 13 in the amount of $368,648.

    • $251,153 direct pass-through
    • $117,495 provided on the district’s behalf

    This grant is the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act which we receive every year. The grants are distributed to each state in a lump sum, and the states distribute them through the IU’s based on demographics, child count, and aide ratio. The IU distributes them to each district based on child count.

    C.   IP Office 11 Upgrade, with Morefield Communications at a cost of $7,210.23, to be paid out of capital reserve.

    This Morefield Proposal replaces the HS and PVIS Iwatsu phone system with Avaya phone system that is used at Paradise and Salisbury. Iwatsu has not been manufactured for a few years. 

    Project Overview

    Morefield Communications will provide the appropriate resources to perform the following high level tasks:

    • Upgrade the IP office systems at all sites from 10.1 to 11.1.
    • Upgrades will be performed on site

    IP Office 500v2 upgrades:

    • Upgrade from 10.1 to 11.1.x.x after hours in order to facilitate multiple reboots. Phone require firmware downloads during this process.

    Vm Pro UCM upgrade:

    • Upgrade from 10.1 to 11.0.4.x
    • Upgrade from 11.0.4.x to 11.1.x

    Post Installation

    • Install (2) J179 office series phones with Wifi modules for customer testing.
    • Install (1) J129 for classroom testing.

    SUPERINTENDENT’S RECOMMENDATIONS:

    On a motion by _____ and a second by _____, approval was given for the following Consent Agenda Items A-E. (rc)

    A.  For the district to continue using Lancaster Newspapers as its public newspaper of general circulation.

    B.  The appointment of Steve Riehl as the School Board representative on the Lancaster County CTC Joint Operating Committee.

    C.  Approval of the 2022-2023 Pequea Valley School District Calendar.

    D.  To enter into an independent contract with the following pit orchestra participants at a cost of $480 each, to be paid out of the proceeds from the 2021-2022 Spring Musical:
