We wanted to make our families aware that the federal Families First Coronavirus Response act of 2020 provides benefits for families referred to as the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) to families who would be receiving free or reduced meals.

Please make sure your contact and financial information is correct on your Free/Reduced application so that you are eligible for these funds. You can update this information through or call 1-877-395-8930 which is the customer service line.

If your circumstances have changed due to COVID-19 you do have the ability to apply for free and reduced priced meals at this time.  Families that have children attending a public-school district may apply online for free or reduced-price school meals through the National School Lunch Program at:

Families of school-aged children certified as free or reduced eligible will receive the equivalent of the free high rate for lunch and the severe need rate for breakfast for each day school was closed. That means a family will receive the benefit amount of $5.70 for each school-aged child in their family for each day school has been closed since March 16, 2020.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) is working with the Department of Human Services (DHS) to get information from our district to be able to help our families benefit from this funding.

If you have additional questions about this process please reach out to Gavin Scalyer, Director of Food Services  at  717-768-5551 or Cathy Koenig, Director of Student Services at 717-344-7098 to get additional support from our social workers.
