A Message from Dr. Orndorff Regarding School Physician Services

Pequea Valley

UPDATE, May 3, 2019:  A few more allegations were filed against Dr. Vollmar this week including one that he inappropriately touched a high school student at CV while giving a massage to the athlete.  If you hear of any previously alleged inappropriate conduct by Dr. Vollmar, please call state police at 717-299-7650.  As a school district, we are unaware of any alleged improper conduct by Dr. Vollmar directed at any past or present PV student.  At this point, we have not received any calls from PV community members, families or students about his matter.  If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact state police or me at 717-768-5588.  Thank you.

April 11, 2019:  On Thursday, Pequea Valley School District was notified via news reports of an allegation against Dr. Vollmar. Our school district had an independent contractual relationship with Dr. Vollmar’s practice to provide school physician services to the district for the 2018-2019 school year.  After being charged, Dr. Vollmar immediately resigned from that position. The School Board approved Lancaster Penn Medicine at its April 11, 2019 School Board meeting for future services.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call.  Thank you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Erik Orndorff

Superintendent
